The CHAIRMAN put the adoption of the Report and Accounts to the meeting, and the motion was car- ried unanimously.

The CHAIRMAN, addressing H.E. the Governor, said:-On behalf of the Chamber I wish to thank you for coming here this afternoon, and for the very able and helpful speech you have made. The subject you have mentioned will certainly be considered by this Committee. I wish to thank you again for com- ing to address us to-day. (Loud applause.)

Committee Elected.
On the proposition of Mr. A. L. SHIELDS, seconded by Mr. F. S. HARRISON, the following were elect- ed as the Committee of the Cham- ber. The Hon. Mr. D. G. M. Ber- nard, the Hon. Mr. A. C. Hynes, Mr. W. H. Bell, Mr. N. S. Brown, Mr. L. J. Davies, Mr. J. Owen Hughes, Mr. Paul Lauder, Mr. F. A. Perry, Mr. J. A. Plummer and Mr. T. G. Weall.
New Members.
On the proposition of the CHAIR- MAN, seconded by Mr. W. S. Bailey, the election of the following mem- bers during 1926 was confirmed,
namely Mr. Frank Austin, Messrs. W. R. Grace & Co., The China Agency and Trading Co., of Hong Kong, Ltd., Messrs. A. P. Leong Hinkee & Co., and Messrs. Sui Heung Yuen.
